According to American pastor Ed Young, sex should be discussed by every Christian couple long before the wedding day.

Although he claims Christian couples are more likely to shy away from such an intimate topic, he believes it is a really important subject to address. His practical and pastoral views on intimacy were recently included in his latest book, Sexperiment: 7 Days to Lasting Intimacy with Your Spouse, in which he and wife Lisa discuss the many practical and spiritual benefits of regular sexual intimacy for Christian married couples.

Pastor Young says: "My wife and I have been married for 30 years. If we could do one thing differently before we got married, it would be to get some strong, biblically based pre-marriage counselling.

“Marriage is hard enough when everything is hitting on all cylinders. So don't wait until after the wedding to handle the difficult conversations."

In addition to detailing the benefits of regular sexual intimacy, Sexperiment also challenges Christian married couples to have sex together every day for a full week, and then to see the ways in which it positively affects their relationship and their life together.
