The four members of American Christian rock band Come Wind are working on the second album and plan to spend the summer on tour.
The Ohio-based band broke into the local music scene in early 2010, having recorded its first EP the previous winter. The group performed at more than 50 gigs across Ohio, Indiana and the Southeastern states last year.
Its four members - Aaron Troyer (guitar), Nick Sayre (guitar and vocals), Ben Roth (drums) and Tal Miller (bass) – say they are “extremely jazzed” about the new album.
"We are excited out of our minds. We haven't had any new music for two years, so we are all excited," Tal told CoshoctonTribune.com.
"On our last record, our focus was more on individual parts. Now we are all more focused on complete, well-rounded songs."
Although they enjoy performing, however, the band’s aim is more far-reaching than making music.
"Our main goal is to spread the word of God," Tal explains. "Our music is like a ministry for us."
He also explains the meaning of the band name: "The name has several meanings for us. First, in the music world and in life, we are always growing and progressing. The wind is like the force and direction we look to.
"Also, in the Scriptures, wind is a picture of the spirit of the Lord. That is very important to all of us."
