St Matthew's by the Sea in Fenwick Island, Delaware, is to host a 12-week Alpha Course starting on April 12. The course will explore the basics of the Christian faith with anyone who is interested in attending.
Sessions will run from 6:30pm to 8:30pm each Thursday and include a free dinner, a video presentation and small group discussion. Topics such as "Who is Jesus?" and "How does God guide us?" will be up for discussion.
Rev Bruce Miller told local press that it will: "Present the fundamental tenets of Christianity in a nonthreatening, relaxed setting, where no question is too outlandish or too heretical, and where all points of view are welcomed"
He added: "We happen to think that meaning and purpose is found through Jesus Christ and all he taught, and we'll lay that out and let folks decide for themselves."
Those who are interested in attending can call 302-537-1402 or email smbts@verizon.net. The course is open to people of all faith backgrounds and those of no faith.
