The Watoto Children’s Choir is to perform at a free concert hosted by Downham Market Christian Fellowship. The concert will take place on February 17 at 7.00pm in the Sovereign Centre, Downham, Norfolk.
Many of the choir’s members are orphans that have been rescued by Uganda-based Christian charity Watoto. These children are being cared for and educated in the charity’s Children’s Villages.
The "Beautiful Africa: A New Generation" tour will visit UK, Canada, South Africa, Australia and the US. The vibrant choir, which will also perform dance routines and recitals, is to give a special performance at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Downham Market Christian Fellowship spokesperson Nam Tong told Network Norwich: "It is so exciting for Downham that such an internationally acclaimed choir will be performing in our town.
"I hope that many local people will take the opportunity to come along to what will be a thoroughly enjoyable and wonderful experience".
